PSYCLE

[ ABOUT ]

This board game is designed to encourage children who are over the age of 6 to explore and reflect on the significance of life and death in an engaging, educational way.  Based on research, this age is when children begin to develop an understanding of death. The game aims to spark thoughtful discussions while providing an enjoyable and inspiring play experience.

LEARNING LIFE&DEATH FROM PLAY

Inspired by the experience of taking care of the plant, I experienced the process of the plant’s life cycle, which inspired me to start developing the theme of life and death, and how younger kids could understand and learn the concept of life and death through design.

From research, I found out that learning within play, children naturally explore, practice, and develop understanding without feeling pressured to “learn.” This belief guides my design approach: using physical board games as experiential tools to help children engage with complex topics—as life and death—in a gentle, intuitive, and age-appropriate way.

HYBRID DESIGN

Combining Digital&traditional Craft

Goal

This project aimed to challenge designers to create narratives through products by developing the ability to transform 3D digital models into physical, tangible outcomes using traditional crafting skills. It combines digital modeling techniques with hands-on making to turn conceptual ideas into real products.
